Semi-Washed Colombia – Watermelon

Adolfo Cerquera Castiblanco was born in 1974 in the city of Florencia, Caquetá department. I was born and raised in Florencia, Caquetá, surrounded by cattle, horses, and sunshine. For some time, I lived away from home. Among some friends, I met the woman who is now my wife. I fell in love with her and we married very young. I took her to live with me in Florencia. For three years, we had three children: two girls and one boy. Some time later the guerrilla (armed group) arrived to those lands and took us out of there, we took refuge for a few years with my wife's parents, she has a very large coffee-growing family, one of her brothers lived there and already works with coffee in Huila, she offered us a lot (patio) for a house, and above it we planted coffee, because that's what my wife wanted, I knew nothing about coffee, but I learned over time, until my youngest daughter studied coffee and since then I have learned with her and we have grown together, now I can differentiate the varieties and know what I have on the farm planted and harvested, I have lived pleasantly for 20 years because of coffee.
