Who are we?

We are a family-owned organization that, since its inception approximately 10 years ago, has been committed to transforming our region through coffee farming that differs from traditional methods in terms of varieties and processes, which have been adapted to the local area. Finca El Turpial was born from the initiative of Emerson Narváez, a young resident of the mountain range, who has dedicated his knowledge and expertise to this productive endeavor, aiming to find new economic alternatives and revitalize the region.

“We produce specialty coffee with high quality standards and unique sensory characteristics.”

History and Location

Cumbitara is a Colombian municipality located in the department of Nariño. With a population of 5,948, it is situated 164 kilometers from San Juan de Pasto, the department's capital. Over time, it has been a region affected by violence due to the cultivation of illicit crops.

At an altitude between 2,000 and 2,800 meters above sea level, the El Turpial farm boasts climatic conditions that are of great importance when producing coffee with unique profiles.

Our products

Our products are characterized by the attributes provided by the climatic conditions of the mountain range; the winds that come from the Pacific give our territory unique microclimates, with high, tropical and jungle temperatures, conditions that allow us to produce exotic specialty coffees of the highest quality.
