Aji Bourbon Washed

Over the last 5 years we have changed our mentality and we have dedicated ourselves to specialty coffee, and it fills us with joy to know that outside of our country Colombia, coffee is highly rated and our hard work and task as coffee growers is valued, which we carry out with passion and sacrifice.

I belong to the third generation of coffee growers in my family, a legacy of my dear father Mr. Libardo Ortiz and my mother Mrs. Jackeline Ruiz. At 33 years old, I live with my beloved wife and my two children (3 and 9 years old). We have a coffee farm in the beautiful district of Bruselas Huila for 5 years, carrying out this beautiful task of producing and processing specialty coffees. Our farm is called Kaizen Farm (Kaizen means continuous improvement). We dedicate ourselves every day to improving our work, continuous improvement in quality, continuous improvement in caring for the environment, continuous improvement in the best and greatest coffee production.

Our biggest dream is to transcend, to make our coffees known to the end consumer, for roasters around the world to be clear about where our coffee comes from and who produces it. Another of our dreams is to help other coffee growers in the region to become trained and lean towards specialty coffee, to transmit to them the knowledge and information about the varietals.
